CREATING A REGIONAL ECOSYSTEM FOR PERSONALISED EHEALTH

Abstract
In 2017 the UTwente Board decided to build strategic programs in promising research areas. One of the identified areas was Personalised eHealth Technology.
Now, in its third year, it is a rapidly expanding program where 8 research groups work together in an unique blend of disciplines, including biomedical engineering, computer science, human media interaction and design, behaviour and health science, to create new eHealth services for people with chronic conditions. A new facility was opened last year, the eHealth house that enables research on the use and usability of technology in a realistic home setting. Collaboration with many care organisations and industry is being established, thus creating a rather unique ecosystem on eHealth technology and its applications. Several regional initiatives are started to further extend this ecosystem in the near future. Join us!
