CFM has started to install 955 solar panels on the Carré building. This is an important step in our ambition to make the campus more sustainable. With this expansion, we will soon have more than 2800 solar panels on our campus, which we expect will generate around 2% of our electricity needs sustainably.
Sustainable energy for a greener campus
The 955 new solar panels have a total capacity of 425,000-watt peak (WP) and are supported by four inverters. This contributes directly to reducing our CO2 emissions and fits in well with the university's sustainability goals. We want to create a green campus and set an example in the use of renewable energy sources.
Lifting work on 10 and 24 March 2025
On 10 March, the substructure was placed on the roof, and on 24 March 2025, the solar panels will be placed on the roof of Carré with the help of cranes. We are doing everything we can to keep the inconvenience to a minimum. The project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2025, with an expected completion date of 1 May 2025.
