The course Sustainable Transport reviews and discusses sustainability issues associated to transport and solutions to make the transport sector more sustainable. Literature comprises of a textbook and scientific articles complementing the discussions in the text book (e.g. methodological and modelling issues in sustainable transport). This part is finalized with a critical book review. Based on the students' individual interest one or more topics or dilemmas of sustainable transport will be addressed in an issue paper that will be presented in a public seminar. 

Students are expected to actively debate and deliberate in this course. Each class session some students will chair and prepare a discussion through a chapter summary and presentation, discussion and defend propositions in a Lagerhuis debate.

This course is assessed by means of an individual book review and Lagerhuis debates (50%), and an issue paper (group assignment of 2 students) (50%).
