Student officer vacancies

Green Hub Twente is a student-driven, staff-supported sustainability office of the University of Twente. We are here to increase overall awareness of sustainability in the UT community and region whilst activating people to do something about this; we support the university in carving out the organisational transformation required to reach its sustainability goals for 2030 and implement/carry out sustainability-related initiatives and projects.

Sustainability is a wide topic which covers areas from green energy to mental well-being – it necessarily involves systemic change too. The new Green Hub officers should have an interest in sustainability as well as be curious to know how change management from the inside works. And be driven to help Green Hub Twente make its local contribution to the global sustainability movement.

The Green Hub Twente Team consists of several portfolios to ensure we work as efficiently as possible. Currently, we have no open positions. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates!

INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE COMMITTEE

By holding the university accountable for its actions and visions for a sustainable future, the Institutional Change Committee (ICC) is dedicated to fostering positive change. Through collaboration with internal and external actors, we aim to ensure that the voice of students is heard and valued. In this sense, the ICC serves as a vital bridge between students and the university, advocating for a more sustainable approach to all campus-related activities at the University of Twente (UT). Together, we strive for a more sustainable future within the academic community and beyond.

Since its foundation in early 2020 as the Task Force Institutional Change for Sustainability, the ICC has built a strong network of sustainability-focused students and staff, contributing to numerous initiatives at the university. We have engaged with various stakeholders, including the Strategy & Policy department and the Centre of Energy Innovation, to highlight our sustainability goals and understand their contributions. Notably, we created a comprehensive list of relevant energy researchers at UT and established connections with the European Consortium of Innovative Universities.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, we organized the university-wide ‘Sustainability Dialogues,’ allowing students and staff to share their views on sustainable practices at UT. Our presence extends to social media platforms like LinkedIn, where members share monthly articles on sustainability news.

We are continuously seeking new opportunities and partnerships in the sustainability domain as an evolving committee.

Are you interested in collaborating with us or do you have any questions? We are more than happy to hear from you! Please reach out through our contact form or email greenhub@utwente.nl
