15:00 - 16:00 RISKS AND STATE OF PLAY CLIMATE AGREEMENT AND CLIMATE LAW

Rafael Lazaroms and Sibo Wignand discuss the risks in energy policy due to climate change. In the context of the geopolitical influence of the war in Ukraine. What are the business and legal risks? Can we break free from dependence on natural gas? The IPCC report indicates that there is no time to lose. Climate change is unprecedented, greater than in thousands of years before.

It is obvious that the climate has been warmed by humans. This has already caused major changes worldwide. Both in the atmosphere, in the oceans and in the area around the Arctic and nature reserves. A super topical theme where Rafael Lazaroms and Sibo Wignand give the participants insight into the strongly changed landscape due to climate change and legal implications.

Rafael elaborates on the importance of acting now, given that time is short. To adapt the environment and prepare for the consequences of the changing climate and financial risks. That climate adaptation is a complex matter. Not only in the municipalities, but also in the collaboration between public organisations, the business community and industry.
