At the beginning of January 2021, the first assessments within the PERSIST Delphi study are available. Now, the participants have the opportunity to discuss the outcomes within the online environment of Calibrum Surveylet.

The experts address the future skills and roles within purchasing and supply management within the Delphi study. These skills and roles are addressed within the Delphi study as projections. Here, the projections have been developed based on the outcomes of the World Café studies within IO2 of the PERSIST project.
After the first initial assessment of the projections, the experts have the opportunity to reassess. This reassessment helps to find a consensus within the expert group. Also, experts evaluate the projections with quantitative assessment criteria within the online environment of Calibrum Surveylet.
At the end, the addressed projections were discussed within a period of two months by the Delphi panelists, and a list of future professional roles and skills was abstracted. These roles and skills will be needed to develop Industry 4.0 in purchasing and supply management further. Further, the Delphi study provides insights on the desirability, impact, and level of adoption of these roles and skills. Here the adoption level is assessed based on a time frame from now, 5 years, 15 years, and 25 years.
