Twente Smuggling Trail - A hiking event

🚶♀️ What it is: Twente Smuggling Trail. Hiking a signposted route of 14.5km in the protected Natura2000 area around Losser.
🚌 Travel: Gather at 10.00 in Losser, just 20 minutes by direct bus from Enschede train station. Start hiking around 10.30.
📅 When: Sunday 3 November 2024
🍻 Benefit: Discount on registration fee and a free drink in Losser afterwards.
💸 Costs: Members €5,-, non-members €7,50. P-Nut covers the rest!

The Twente Smuggling Trail guarantees a sporty reliving of the old smuggling past of the border area between Netherlands and Germany. It’s a cozy event organized by volunteers, with a trail that's more than 90% unpaved! 🏞️ We propose hiking the 14.5km route together at a leisurely pace. Non-members like friends and family are more than welcome to join. If you prefer, you can sign up for the 10/14.5/27km trail run and meet us afterwards. The route passes through normally restricted areas and even includes some surprises! 🎉
P-Nut is not the main organiser of the event; we’re just joining as a group.
The hike will take place rain or shine—only extreme weather will lead to cancellation. ☔
Registrations for the event may sell out due to limited availability, so registration via P-Nut does not guarantee participation.
