P-NUT Chat, Chew, and Relax at Recreation Park Rutbeek

Ever wondered how a Dutch recreation park looks like? Well, this is your chance to have a glance at one of the nearby parks. P-NUT goes to Recreation Park Het Rutbeek. Besides that this park is known for hosting festivals, sports events/activities, and providing plenty of water fun, you can also decide to do absolutely NOTHING. Together with a group of fellow doctoral candidates, we will cycle from the city center to Rutbeek to enjoy the last summer weekend of this year.

Bring your favorite outdoor sports equipment, some warm clothes for the windy moments, and of course your favorite snacks/food and drinks. Perhaps you can even make a jump in the water. We recommend you: bring a picnic blanket, some food and drinks. Thus, a moment to chat, chew, and relax.

The event will take place on September 19th. Starting from Enschede Central Station (near the ABN AMRO bank @Stationsplein) we will leave at 14:00h. Cycling takes approximately half an hour to reach Rutbeek Recreation Park.

What: Relaxing day at the recreation park Rutbeek

When: Sunday, September 19th from 14:00h to 18:00h. We will leave Central Station at 14:00h by bike.

Where: Rutbeek (Jacobsrietweg 182, Enschede, Google Maps location: https://goo.gl/maps/6CakyDDTa3ab9Qhv7). Because Rutbeek covers quite a large area, we suggest you to join our WhatsApp group to keep posted about the location once we are there.

Costs: free, but we encourage you to register.

Note: join the P-NUT WhatsApp group to keep up to date about the latest developments on this event.

AND.. WHAT ABOUT COVID-19?

Due to the corona measures still active, we impose the following restrictions:

  1. We limit the total capacity (when capacity is reached, it's not possible anymore to register).
  2. Registration is mandatory.
  3. We will have a checklist present, confirming the names and health questions.
  4. If you can't attend, inform us beforehand. We get a lot of requests from members to organize events again. Not showing up without informing us will not be appreciated.
  5. The Dutch measures against COVID-19 should be followed (link) (e.g., 1.5 meters apart and group size restrictions).
