The conference venue is situated at the campus of the University of Twente’s (Drienerlolaan 5, 7522 NB Enschede), Faculty of ITC (Building Langezijds; Hallenweg 8, 7522 NH Enschede)
From the central train station in Enschede , you can take bus line 1 and hop off at the exit called 'Hallenweg'. Online you can check the campus map for the University of Twente. We have reserved a number of rooms at the U Park Hotel and the Intercity Hotel for those who are attending the conference. If you want to book a room at the Intercity Hotel (from this reserved group block) you need to fill in the reservationform and send it back to the InterCity Hotel. As a participant, you need to enter your arrival/dept. date on the form when you make a reservation.
The reserved rooms will be available until 15th of August 2023, after this date, there is no longer a guarantee for the rooms.

- Paradijs, The restaurant is fully vegan, has great portions, and is in an amazing setting. The building has been designed by an artist from recycled materials. You will be amazed to be in this space. There is a fixed menu with 2 starters, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts to choose from. - Tankstation, on Thursdays you can join here for a simple meal for just around 10 euros and cheap drinks and nice teas, a relaxing creative space. It is a collaborative open environment where people meet and eat at long tables. Make sure to reserve a plate on the website. GETTING THERE AND AROUND

TRAVELLING FROM THE AIRPORT (SCHIPHOL) TO ENSCHEDE
The train station at the airport is located underneath Schiphol Airport and is indicated on signage throughout the airport lobby.
Train tickets may be bought online (ns.nl) or at the NS information desk. It might also be handy to download the NS app (Android/iOS) to plan routes, schedules and buy tickets. Finally, remember to check in and out at the yellow NS gates or stands. Failure to do so may result in a hefty fine.
Typically there are two trains every hour in-between Schiphol and Enschede. The closest to the hour (xx:08) tends to have a stopover in Amersfoort, whereas the train scheduled closest to the half hour (xx:38) is a direct train with its end destination at Enschede central. Trains normally run between 5 am and midnight. However, please use the NS app or website (https://www.ns.nl/en/journeyplanner/) to plan your journey, as schedules are subject to change.
GETTING AROUND
Travelling by bus in Enschede is a quick and reliable way to get around. During rush hours, buses run up to six times per hour. You can buy single tickets on the bus or use a Public Transport card, called OV-chipkaart (very convenient if you’ll be using the public transport system more regularly). Buy yours at the ticket office in Enschede central railway station. Bus transport is handled by Twents and Arriva.
Another convenient way to get around is to rent a bicycle. Most hotels and guesthouses may have several choices available. Alternatively, there are several affordable bicycle/e-scooter share services around that are easily accessible with an app. Some options: GO Sharing, Bolt, Dott.
Unfortunately, Uber has not yet made its way to Enschede; however, there is an affordable metered-taxi service in town. DiTaxi (ditaxi.nl) are reliable and promises a pickup within 15 min, 24/7; you may call for a taxi at (+31 53 461 5060). Online bookings are also available and offer an additional discount (DiTaxi Booking).
