Become part of an expanding network of Organ-on-Chip experts

The European Organ-on-Chip Society (EUROoCS) is an independent, not-for-profit organization established to encourage and develop Organ-on-Chip research, and to provide opportunities to share and advance knowledge and expertise in the field towards better health for all.

EUROoCS was established on 5 November 2018 as an international independent not-for-profit organization aimed at encouraging Organ-on-Chip research and development and providing opportunities to share and advance knowledge and expertise in the field towards better health for all. EUROoCS provides a platform for dialogue and interaction between all stakeholders involved in the Organ-on-Chip field, to stimulate collaboration and dissemination of the latest developments. With the support of EUROoCS, the Organ-on-Chip community will be well positioned to accelerate adoption of the Organ-on-Chip technology.

OoCCT in the board

The scientific leads of the Organ-on-Chip Centre Twente are positioned in the board of EUROoCS. Andries van der Meer, adjunct-professor in Applied Stem Cell Technologies, is chair since summer 2023 for the coming two years. Liliana Moreira Teixeira, assistant professor in Advanced Organ bioengineering and Therapeutics, is member of the board since summer 2023. Albert van den Berg, professor of BIOS-Lab on Chip group at the University of Twente and founder of hDMT (Dutch Organ-on-Chip consortium) is member of the board as well.

Each year the annual meeting of EUROoCS will take place. In 2023 this was in Berlin, Germany. In 2024 it will be in Milan, Italy, on 3-5 July. EUROoCS also organizes several training opportunities for young researchers, such as a summer school.
