FAQ & Troubleshooting

  • Is there a default text I can use to inform my students on Canvas?

    You can use the following text:

    In this course, you will encounter hybrid lectures. This means that part of the group will be viewing the lecture online, while part of the group is in the lecture hall physically. For this, this short information page has been set up. Please read through the info down below to be well prepared for your hybrid lecture and make sure that Zoom/Teams has been installed on your device beforehand. If you encounter any problems, please do not hesitate to contact your course teachers.

  • Is there a code of conduct I can share with my students?

    You can copy the following text.

    In order to ensure that the lecture will progress smoothly for you, your peers and your teachers alike, please pay mind to the following code of conduct during the hybrid lecture.

    Online classroom

    • Turn off your microphone during the hybrid lecture. Your teacher will let you know whether and when you can turn it on.
    • Test your equipment beforehand. Make sure your microphone / webcam is working.
    • As the session is being recorded, turn off your webcam due to privacy.
    • If you have any questions, please use them in chat. Your teacher will get to them at {SPECIFY TIME} / A moderator will inform the teacher of your question

    Physical Classroom

    • Please be quiet unless you ask a question. The microphone for the online classroom might pick up your talking
    • If possible, please come to the physical classroom
    • Please bring your laptop or tablet in case of groupwork with online classmates.
