How do you explain the problems and possible solutions related to used tires to children? That was the challenge that the ‘Dr. Rubber’ team from the University of Applied Science Windesheim together with SES/ETE was facing at the Zwarte Cross festival. In their booth in the ‘blagenparadijs’, children could interactively learn about repairing and recycling of tires. Windesheim had designed and equipped the booth with a complete tire recycling line build from … Lego, which could remotely be steered by the kids. But the most popular activity was the racing track for toy cars! Altogether, it was a playful and educative activity on the Zwarte Cross.
