Hello and welcome to the Optimus website!
What is Optimus?
Optimus is the association of the Design, Production and Management (DPM) department of the University of Twente (NL). It aims to increase staff and student members’ engagement by offering a platform which stimulates informal contact.
Optimus organises regular social and informative activities for its enthusiastic members. Events include monthly Lunch Talks, Sports Days, Cultural celebrations (Easter, Nowruz, Sinterklaas etc.), board games nights and volunteering for the local community. These events are kindly funded by DPM and therefore, are often free or at a heavily discounted price. So there is no reason not to join!
Who can join Optimus?
Optimus is for:
- All DPM employees;
- IDE Master Students following Emerging Technology Design, Human-Product Relations or Management of Product Development streams;
- ME Master students following Design Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or Production Management streams.
All staff members are automatically enrolled.
Students should register to become a member and pay a EUR 10 membership fee.
