This PhD research project focused on navigating and governing the heat transition in the Netherlands with specific focus on the Twente region. In this research, the heat transition is studied in its interaction with the energy transition. Particular focus lays on the position of district heating networks in the Twente region and the governance of the district heating relates to other governance levels.
