The University of Twente (UT) and medical microbiology laboratory Labmicta are joining forces to optimise laboratory processes with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotisation. In the coming years, they will collaborate on innovative solutions to enhance laboratory diagnostics, making them faster, more efficient, and more sustainable. This should lead to improved patient care, as healthcare providers can make diagnoses even faster and more accurately. Last week, the collaboration, which also stimulates the regional economy and innovative strength, was officially ratified during a signing moment. A PhD student will focus on research and implementation of AI and robotisation in laboratories, supervised by experts from both the UT and Labmicta.
