No! Alfred de Vries retired May 1, 2026, after 17 years working in the SmartXp!
“Is Alfred There?” was a frequently heard question amongst the Creative Technology students and staff. SA Proto took the initiative to create a public website for all of us in dire need of Alfred’s support. A display in the front of Alfred’s SmartXp office showed the time that he would be back.
This page is a tribute to Alfred’s dedication and selfless support to all asking for his help. The booklet created by Creative Technology (ex) students and staff, and his SmartXp colleagues shows the appreciation we all had for him.
We celebrated Alfred’s retirement on Friday May 1, 2026, with his family, students and staff members to enjoy the very last time Alfred is there in the SmartXp.
