Well known as the bread and butter of the SmartXP, the Theatre hosts a large, well-equipped space for a various events, ranging from educational to social and everthing inbetween. The space is home to specticle of creation, ideation and imagination.

S.V. Proto is the student association for students of the Bachelor's programme in Creative Technology and the Master's programme in Interaction Technology at the University of Twente. You can count on its support in various ways! 

It is based in SmartXP's Protopolis, right above where all the action happens in the Theatre. 

Its main goal is to offer students educational support, for example by providing information about the programme and organising study evenings, but also by offering students the opportunity to give feedback about the programme. As a member, you can also benefit from discounts on textbooks and free coffee and tea in our association room.

ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
In addition, Proto offers you great ways to discover your career opportunities. It organises activities with companies so that you can get a better idea of your career options. These include lunch lectures, workshops and activities in a more informal setting.

And of course, being a member of Proto is great fun! Several activities are organised almost every week, ranging from game nights to sports activities and even weekend trips. These are organised by Proto members through one of the 35 committees. Proto currently has over 1000 members, all of whom are brought together by a full-time student board! Joining the association can be a great way to socialise and meet students from different years. And membership only costs €5 per year for Creative Technology and I-Tech students and €10 for everyone else!
