Memorandum of Understanding with Korean university KAIST

Executive Board President Victor van der Chijs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Twente and the South Korean university KAIST. President Sung-Mo Kang, also known as Steve, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the Korean university.

The MoU facilitates student exchange in the field of Human Media Interaction, but the cooperation between the two universities also extends into other areas. Victor van der Chijs also represents the University of Twente at the International Presidential Forum on Global Research Universities in Korea. This forum includes the presidents and governors of prestigious universities such as Waterloo (Canada), Bandung (Indonesia), Munich and Berlin (Germany), Tsukuba (Japan), Hong Kong, and NTU and SUTD (Singapore). The University of Twente has already entered into cooperative ventures with a number of these universities.

Late last week, the University of Twente took an important international step when it signed a joint lab agreement with the South China Normal University in Guangzhou, China.
