After the end of employment, former employees temporarily retain access to certain ICT facilities (such as email, M:-drive, and Microsoft 365 online license). During this grace period, you can finalise ongoing projects or contribute to the handover to colleagues. Starting 10 March 2025, the grace period for all former employees will be limited to one (1) month. This change aims to reduce the cost of maintaining unused accounts over long periods and mitigate potential security risks. The change also applies to former employees currently within the grace period.
Information for PhD Candidates
If you have not yet completed your PhD but your employment is ending, you can extend the grace period once by one (1) year. Before your contract ends, you must make arrangements with your supervisor regarding access to your ICT facilities and data storage. Your supervisor will request an extension from the HR officer in your faculty.
