Marco Raaben

profile

Marco Raaben was born in Neede, the Netherlands, in 1988. He received his MSc. in Technical Medicine at the University of Twente in 2013. After obtaining his MSc, he was selected for the first clinical fellowship Technical Medicine at UMC Utrecht. In this position he was responsible for the implementation of innovative technologies to improve diagnostics and treatments in healthcare. In 2016 he continued his work as PhD and focused on the development of rehabilitation programs after lower extremity fractures. During his PhD he developed skills as project manager in an international, multicentre study funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.

As project manager EU projects at the Strategic Business Development division (UT) he is currently involved in three EU funded projects. His first project, called WEAFING, is at the Human Media Interaction group. At the Telecommunication Engineering group he is involved in two projects: SCENT and ETOPIA.
