profile
I create connections: both between myself and others, and between others. I continue to challenge myself and support others with their challenges. I am there for others when they need me, without losing sight of myself.
As PhD candidate in the Detox@Home project, I am conducting research into remote monitoring and intervention during the detoxification of addictive substances. This will result in a clinically applicable prototype, which supports practitioners and patients with detoxing in their own living environment. My knowledge and experiences as a Technical Physician and as a software developer come together in this PhD program, where I am supervised by Joanneke van der Nagel and Randy Klaassen.
Within Detox@Home we investigate how technology can be used to make detoxification in the home environment more widely accessible, more effective and less labour-intensive. This research is a collaboration between, among others, the University of Twente, Tactus Addiction Care, Radboud University Medical Center, NISPA, Saxion and Nedap.
