Symposium "Sports, Data, and Interaction"

The UT-EEMCS Theme Team project "Sports, Data, and Interaction" (SDI) works on sports data from multiple perspectives simultaneously. New approaches to measuring and modelling athlete data in terms of kinetics and kinematics; new statistical approaches to analysing significant developments in the data stream; and interaction technology platforms that allow athletes to engage with sports data for sensemaking and for novel forms of training.
The first SDI Symposium aims to bring together a larger community around these and related themes, sharing initial results from the project and offering a keynote on sports and pedagogy, but also offering room for other researchers to show their work in this area.
