ABSTRACT
Flexiblepower Alliance Network (FAN) is a foundation which has developed a generic framework (the so called Flexible Power Application Infrastructure - FPAI) on top of which smart energy methodologies can be implemented. Currently, the Powermatcher energy system is the only one implemented on top of FPAI . The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a controller with planning in the FPAI framework.
