We use the Lund system as a starting point for three reasons: [1] there is a clear case of similar context (LTH is a ‘research-intensive faculty’), [2] their approach is evidence-based, or at the very least evidence-informed (they substantiate their choices in two dissertations and many articles) and [3] they have demonstrably achieved success over the course of 15 years. Not only did the participating teachers provide better education, but the overall education level of the entire faculty had improved (higher places in rankings). This has lead to national and international interest and imitation.
