On June 10th, 2016 Jasper de Jong successfully defended his PhD thesis with the title “Quality of Equilibria in Resource Alloaction Games”. Due to this huge enthusiasm for all kinds of board games, especially chess, he naturally did his PhD in the field of algorithmic game theory. After already doing his master project in our group, Jasper worked as a PhD student for 4 years, with Marc Uetz both being his supervisor and his formal promoter. Luckily, he still remains a part of us, as he is now working as a teacher for the math line for first year students as well as more advanced mathematical courses. In addition, he is also part of a project about blended learning, an education program which combines traditional methods with online digital media.
