On November 7, the Dutch Day on Optimization was hosted at the University of Twente. It was an inspiring day with four excellent invited lectures and 12 contributed lightning talks. The programme showed the breadth and depth of the field. About 70 participants from PhD student to professor enjoyed the talks, as well as the breaks for discussions and some networking. This event was made possible through generous financial support from NWO, DIAMANT, and the University Funds Twente. A big thank you to all participants and everybody who contributed. The organizers (Ruben Hoeksma, Bodo Manthey, Alexander Skopalik, Marc Uetz and Matthias Walter).
