LLL: Digital, Design & Architecture course - first graduates! The childcare benefits scandal showed what goes wrong when policy, processes and technology do not align within the government.
Two years ago, the University of Twente therefore started the Digital, Design & Architecture Course, in collaboration with the Open University and TU Delft and with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Not an abstract theory, but a training that teaches professionals from the public sector to work from coherence: from strategy to implementation, right through policy, processes and technology.
On September 10, the first batch completed the program. During the training, the participants worked on their own final assignment: a concrete issue from their own organization. At the closing meeting, they presented the results to colleagues, clients and employers.
The premise of the programme is simple: good digital architecture is not only rock solid, it must also really work, for people and for organisations.
With this first group of professionals behind us, the University of Twente is preparing the next step. In 2027, a new generation of Digital Architects for Public Services (DAPD) will start, for those who want to help build a government that is digitally agile and continues to work for citizens.
