During NMC2024 which took place from 2-3 April 2024, poster awards were also presented.
This year, two DAMUT PhD students were in the prizes: Jens de Vries and Alexander Wierzba. Both are PhD students in the MAST chair, under the supervision of Felix Schwenninger.
Jens received his 1st prize for the poster entitled: "A unifying approach to von Neumann's inequality and Crouzeix's conjecture".
The poster is based on a recent publication by Felix Schwenninger and Jens de Vries: "On abstract spectral constants", IWOTA22 proceedings.
Alexander received his 3rd prize for the poster titled: "BIBO stability of infinite-dimensional systems".
This poster is based on a publication by Felix Schwenninger, Alexander Wierzba and Hans Zwart: "On BIBO stability of infinite-dimensional linear state space systems" SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization (https://doi.org/10.1137/23M1563098).
