The overarching theme of this talk will be the application of stochastic geometric methods to dynamical systems, especially those arising in plasma physics. The first part of the presentation will be a gentle introduction to geometric and stochastic geometric numerical integration for Hamiltonian and Lagrangian systems. In the second part of the presentation I will discuss the application of stochastic variational principles and the related numerical integrators to collisional Vlasov and Vlasov-Maxwell equations in kinetic plasma theory.
