Title: “Power Systems and Applied Probability: Electric Vehicles”
Abstract:
In this talk, I will present two lines of work on stochastic models for EV charging and battery swapping schemes. I will show how to assess the performance of a stochastic model describing the charging process of EVs under general assumptions, justify approximations employed for power flow models and stochastic models and discuss the optimisation of the system. Next, considering battery swapping systems, I will formulate a stochastic model to describe the performance of the system, assess its performance, and show how resource pooling affects the system’s performance.
