UT and ZGT hospital collaboration leads to prestigious STZ-status

The UT and ZGT hospital have been working together for years on innovative solutions for better patient care. Collaboration between UT and ZGT is an important distinctive proposition of ZGT. Various new medical technologies have already been implemented in practice together with ZGT. The STZ (Samenwerkende Topklinische opleidingsZiekenhuizen) status is a true recognition of the commitment between science and innovation!

BSS professor Miriam Vollenbroek-Hutten is the hospital's science coordinator. The university started to come up with more technical solutions for the hospital's clinical problems. In addition to the recognition for training and top care, STZ tested scientific research and innovative climate, according to Miriam Vollenbroek. An online visit was held in January, in which they spoke with all kinds of employees. The committee inquires and checks whether the required level is in the genes of the hospital and whether it is part of the culture of ZGT.

2 of the Top clinical specialisms in which STZ wants to be distinctive, relate to BSS. Associate Professor Han Hegeman with his specialism in Geriatric Traumatology and Professor Goos Laverman with his specialism in Complex Diabetes.

BSS congratulates Miriam, Han, Goos and ZGT on this prestigious status.
