Chemical Science and Engineering (ChE) is the best educational programme for engineers with an interest in chemistry. The smallest structures in a lab, small enough to fit on a chip, and the biggest reactors and distillation columns, have all been designed by chemical engineers. Chemical Engineers are creative problem solvers who use their scientific and technical expertise to develop novel chemical processes, materials and products for a wide variety of applications. The Bachelor's programme in Chemical Science and Engineering is fully English-taught. The two-year Master’s in Chemical Science and Engineering is an internationally oriented programme and is taught entirely in English. Chemical Engineering is a broad discipline that encompasses so much more than chemistry alone. As a chemical engineer, you are at home in fields of research such as chemistry, materials science or process technology. You are also well versed in more physics-related areas, such as fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
Below you can find information on the Exchange Course Packages offered by the Faculty of Science and Technology (S&T) that are open for exchange students. These Exchange Course Packages are well-balanced, structured sets of courses created around a theme. The course packages consist either 15 ECTS (1 block) or 30 ECTS (2 blocks/1 semester).
Please note that for most course packages you need to meet prerequisites. In some cases MSc level course packages are open to exchange students in their final BSc year with sufficient pre-knowledge.
For some course packages it is possible to select only certain parts/courses. Please discuss your plans with the Departmental Exchange Coordinator. Admittance to any course is always subject to fulfilment of the pre-requisites of that module or course and approval from the Departmental Exchange Coordinator
