Do you want to do a master abroad after your UT studies? Consider applying for a VSBfonds Scholarship.
What is VSBfonds?
Each year, the VSBfonds - a private charitable fund - awards scholarships to motivated students who are actively involved in Dutch society and who wish to gain international study experience for their personal development. This year, UT has the opportunity to award two scholarships up to a maximum of €10,000 per person. Applicants must have Dutch nationality to be eligible.
How to apply
Applications are reviewed in the context of each applicant’s personal situation. Motivation and social engagement are more important than grade averages. The application window for study plans starting after 1 July 2026 is as follows:
- Applications open: November 2025
- Applications close: 1 March 2026
Some (preliminary) eligibility criteria include:
- The international follow-up study must be a new programme
- You must be completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at UT
- The scholarship does not apply to internships or research.
You can find the full list of criteria here (in Dutch.) To apply, visit the VSBfonds scholarship portal after reviewing the eligibility requirements and completing the quick scan.
