Every November, the University of Twente hosts the Let’s GO! Study Abroad Fair and Staff Days - and you’re invited!
Join the fair on 25 November at the Waaier to explore all the exciting exchange opportunities available to UT bachelor’s and master’s students. Whether you're just curious or already dreaming about your time abroad, this is the perfect chance to get inspired.
You can also join the webinar on 28 November to find out about scholarships to support your abroad experience.

Check out the partner universities at the fair in the list below. Some universities will be represented by visiting staff, and others by exchange students or UT students who have already returned from an exchange.
UNIVERSITIES
The University of Melbourne is a public research university located in Melbourne, Australia. The university is one of Australia's oldest higher education institutions and a member of the Group of Eight, Australia's eight most research-intensive universities. The university comprises of ten separate academic units and is associated with numerous institutes and research centres.
The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) is a national research university located in Bandung, Indonesia. Since its establishment in 1920, ITB has been consistently recognised as Indonesia's premier STEM-based academic institution and reserves its place among the country's top elite universities.
The Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano, abbreviated as Polimi) is the largest technical university in Italy, with about 40,000 students. The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and higher education courses in the fields of engineering, architecture and design.
The University of Bologna (Italian: Università di Bologna, abbreviated Unibo) is a public research university in Bologna, Italy. Teaching began around 1088, with the university becoming organised as guilds of students by the late 12th century, it is the oldest university in continuous operation in the world, and the first degree-awarding institution of higher learning. With over 90,000 students, the University of Bologna is one of the largest universities in Europe.
The University of Trento is a dynamic, medium-sized, research-oriented university, with excellent teaching and research opportunities and top-notch facilities. Trento is one of the 10 IEEE smart cities in the world, has a very high quality of life and high academic standards with a particular focus on research, teaching, university facilities and services.
The Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is a public research university located in Kaunas, Lithuania. Established in 1922, KTU has been seen as one of Lithuania's top science education centers. In 2021, KTU was ranked the second-best university in Lithuania.
Tecnológico de Monterrey is a private research university based in Monterrey, Mexico, which has grown to include 35 campuses throughout the country. UT has a long history of collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey.
The University of Porto (Universidade do Porto) is a Portuguese public research university located in Porto, and founded in 1911. It is the second largest Portuguese university by number of enrolled students, and has one of the most noted research outputs in Portugal.
Comillas Pontifical University (Spanish: Universidad Pontificia Comillas) is a private Catholic higher education institution run by the Spanish Province of the Society of Jesus in Madrid, Spain. The university is involved in a number of academic exchange programmes, work practice schemes and international projects with over 200 institutions of higher education in Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia.
Please note: The universities present at the fair is determined by the availability of visiting staff and students to represent the institution. UT invites all of our partner universities, however only a selection of universities have a stand at the fair each year. A further selection of universities/ countries are featured in student presentations. Other Stands
Crossing Borders | INTERNATIONAL GRAND CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES FOR TECHNOLOGY, SUSTAINABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT (2*15 EC)
Crossing Borders is a UT minor that offers students the opportunity to gain international experience by going abroad for a field study/ internship, or by working from the Netherlands with international partners. Students work on a challenge-based project framed around the Sustainable Development Goals. Those who choose the Field Study carry out their own research project abroad, usually at a charity, NGO, foundation, school, company or research institute.
Please note: all bachelor students are welcome to join this programme due to its multidisciplinary perspective of sustainability. If you are in doubt please check directly with your study advisor.
Did you know you can study abroad with ECIU University? UT is a member of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), the leading international consortium of research-intensive universities. ECIU University offers students the possibility to study at different European universities in a flexible way. For example, you can do a Challenge or a Micro-Module abroad.

What can I expect at the fair?
The Let’s GO! Fair is arranged like a marketplace so you can speak with representatives from a selection of UT's partner institutions. You will meet international exchange students who can tell you about their home country and university, as well as UT students who have returned from an exchange. UT Faculty Exchange Coordinators will be present to answer your questions on topics such as course credits, application processes and scholarships.

Scholarships for abroad experiences
Did you know there’s a range of scholarships available for studying abroad, as well as for undertaking internships, research opportunities and PhDs? The UT’s Scholarship Office will host a webinar in November to outline your financial support options and answer your questions.
Meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and learning a foreign language are the main reasons for students to spend time abroad during their studies. In addition, an international experience broadens your horizons, both academically and personally, and enhances your career prospects. Visiting a Let's GO! event is a great way to get inspired and gain an insight into the benefits of a study abroad experience.
