Another AI is Possible: Resistance, Popular Sovereignty, Re-enchanting the World
Join the JEDAI Network (Social Justice in AI) for an unmissable one-day event (10:00–16:30) at the DesignLab.
This day is devoted to bold conversations on resisting, reshaping, and reimagining automated and machine-learning technologies, ensuring they serve people and the planet, not the other way around.
Expect provocative roundtables and focused breakout sessions that tackle the status quo, share transformative practices, and rethink both practical and methodological approaches. We’ll also critically examine current AI innovation strategies in the Netherlands and challenge mainstream narratives (Europe 2031), collectively envisioning alternatives through hands-on design exercises.
We will also unveil our upcoming open-access book, JEDAI Health (Francesca Toso et al.), alongside the Social Justice Library, a collection of three open-access volumes featuring research and critical perspectives from grassroots networks, research grounds and artists rethinking technology from the ground up.
