Tosti Talk Animal Assisted Activities: Happy Dogs, Happy Students

Miriam, a Student Adviser in Well-being, strives to help students at the University to improve mental health. To do so, she puts trust in her fluffy assistant: Hoppus! Hoppus is a therapy dog who is a professional in putting smiles on faces. Therapy dogs are great at improving mental health. They have been shown to improve social contact, provide a feeling of safety and unconditional love, and can cause an increase in oxytocine (happiness hormone) and decrease stress.  And lets be honest, they’re also unbearably cute. Join this dynamic duo for a tosti talk about how Animal Assisted Activities (AAA’s) can be beneficial for students. Dogs and free food? What a magical Tuesday.
