Cyber crisis exercise OZON

On 4 and 5 October 2018, the University of Twente will participate in the national cyber crisis OZON, organized by SURFnet. This cyber crisis exercise is meant to test how well our institution is prepared for a cyber-security crisis (think of data leakage, password fraud etc.).

Those who participate in the exercise are personally informed. Since it is a closed exercise, employees and students will probably not notice much when the crisis exercise is going on.

Yet it may be that you hear something about it, and if you get the idea that something is going on, then you know that there is a cyber-crisis exercise. In all communication within the exercise, the word OZON will be in the subject, so it is clearly visibleĀ if something is part of this exercise. In the unlikely event that a situation arises that raises the question, whether it is part of the exercise, or if there really is a cyber-security situation, contact one of our Security Managers, Marc Berenschot and Peter Peters.

If there are questions about the course of the exercise, please contact the exercise leader Peter Peters. Realize that on the days prior to the exercise and during the exercise itself, he is probably too busy to answer questions from non-participants.

Keep an eye on the general outcomes of the exercise www.surf.nl.
