Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are prestigious international Masters, jointly designed and delivered by a group of partner institutions in the EU. The funding scheme aims to foster excellence and worldwide internationalisation of higher education institutions via study programmes at Master course level.

The GEM programme is the Master of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management. The aim of the programme is to deliver top-class graduates from the EU and around the world, with the skills and networks to better manage socio-ecological systems for sustainable and equitable growth. GEM is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of four higher education institutions, including the University of Twente, Lund University (Sweden), UCLouvain University (Belgium) and University of Tartu (Estonia).
