  • Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia

    The Bandung Institute of Technology is a national research university located in Bandung, Indonesia. Since its establishment in 1920, ITB has been consistently recognised as Indonesia's premier STEM-based academic institution and reserves its place among the country's top elite universities.

  • École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne, France

    École des Mines de Saint-Étienne is one of the most selective technological universities in France, with its graduate engineering programmes regularly ranked among the top 15 of French engineering courses.

    Rankings and Awards

    In 2018, École des Mines de Saint-Étienne obtained the “Cequint” Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation and in 2019, the Bienvenue en France quality label. The most recent recognition by THE is another step on our road to becoming one of the top ranked universities for engineering and research.

    École des Mines de Saint-Étienne now offers a broad range of engineering disciplines and research programmes. It’s engineering education combines broad theoretical knowledge with hands-on projects, development of management and communication skills through mandatory international exposure and practical training in partner companies. Small-group teaching and close educational supervision are essential features of all science and engineering programmes.

    INSA Lyon is one of France’s largest engineering graduate schools and among the top 10 universities of Science and Technology in Europe.

    Since its creation in 1957, INSA Lyon has included both international and human and social aspects in the curriculum of its engineers. INSA Lyon is a leader in science education, as well as a pioneer in terms of its policies concerning accessibility and diversity.

    Pforzheim University with its three schools - School of Design, School of Engineering and Business School - combines creativity with business education and technical precision. This combination also makes the university an attractive partner for the regional and national economy. With around 6,200 students, Pforzheim University is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the state of Baden-Württemberg. 

    Pforzheim University offers various programs for exchange students in English. In addition, there is the possibility for an internship. The combination of studying and working abroad is an attractive component to enrich the study program.

    Sabancı University is one of the top-ranked research universities located in Istanbul, Turkey. SU has three faculties: Engineering and Natural Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Management. The language of instruction is fully in English.

    SU welcomes around 100 exchange students each semester from different parts of the world. Exchange students have priorirty on course selection and on-campus accommodation.

  • ECIU University - a Cross-European Exchange Experience

    The European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) is the leading international consortium of research-intensive universities, with collective emphasis on innovation, creativity, and societal impact, driving the development of a knowledge-based economy. UT is one of the partner universities. The mission is to ‘challenging conventional thinking’ with a focus on ‘innovation in teaching and learning' and ‘entrepreneurship and societal impact of research’. 

    ECIU University offers students the possibility to study at different European universities the way you want. You can go on exchange for a semester, meet up for a few days or participate online. It's 14 European universities working together to reinvent the way you learn.

  • Emergency Abroad Service

    In the event of an emergency occurring in countries in which UT students and staff are studying or working, the Emergency Abroad Service performs a wellbeing check and provides support when required. The service liaises with various stakeholders and shares information about important matters such as pre-emptive safety measures, pre-departure preparations and intercultural awareness.
