Preannouncement: Workshop on Sustainable Energy Transition VU/UTTom Coenen from the Construction Management & Engineering department announces a workshop on Sustainable Energy Transition. Date to be set early June. Stay in touch with Tom for further details.Research and development (R&D) and demonstration projects for sustainable energy technology are crucial to addressing the global climate crisis and achieving a sustainable future. These projects focus on developing new technologies or improving existing ones that use renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, and biomass. Demonstrating the effectiveness and feasibility of these technologies, for example, by retrofitting existing buildings or constructing new buildings, is also essential to gaining widespread acceptance and adoption. Through R&D and demonstration projects, we can explore innovative solutions that will help us reduce carbon emissions, increase energy efficiency, and promote a more sustainable future for future generations.
