Preannouncement: Workshop on Sustainable Energy Transition VU/UT
Tom Coenen from the Construction Management & Engineering department announces a workshop on Sustainable Energy Transition. Date to be set early June. Stay in touch with Tom for further details.Research and development (R&D) and demonstration projects for sustainable energy technology are crucial to addressing the global climate crisis and achieving a sustainable future. These projects focus on developing new technologies or improving existing ones that use renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, and biomass. Demonstrating the effectiveness and feasibility of these technologies, for example, by retrofitting existing buildings or constructing new buildings, is also essential to gaining widespread acceptance and adoption. Through R&D and demonstration projects, we can explore innovative solutions that will help us reduce carbon emissions, increase energy efficiency, and promote a more sustainable future for future generations. SPACE53: Drones@Technology Base
Space53 is a regional initiative that builds a regional drone network for automated emergency response drones. We are excited about their vision and see many technical, economic, social, environmental and ethical implications. These implications suggest great research opportunities. Please see the .pdf for inspiration. Let us know if you want to explore research collaborations & funding opportunities within the SPACE53 framework. When we have a critical mass of people, we organize a meeting to discuss opinions for cooperation.
