THE CHANGE MANAGEMENT & ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR (CMOB) RESEARCH GROUP AIMS TO GROW CHANGE LEADERS AND LET YOU EXCEL THROUGH PROVIDING FRESH, EVIDENCE-BASED MANAGEMENT OR BEHAVIOURAL INSIGHTS VIA CUTTING-EDGE HIGH-TECH RESEARCH AND EDUCATION WITH A HUMAN TOUCH.

In today’s organizations, change is the only constant and professionals must learn to adapt to the high-tech workplace of the future. We study change processes at the organizational, team, dyadic and individual level as well as leadership and followership behaviours in a wide array of organizational settings, including:

CMOB is specialized in a unique video-based behavioural observation method in which we also involve our so-called Leadership Lab at the Ravelijn building. This method is used to analyze minute verbal and non-verbal behaviours of managers, employees and change agents in regular work settings. In cooperation with the BMSLab powered by Tech4People at the DesignLab, we experiment with additional biometric and other high-tech assessments. Our research thus fits well in the High Tech Human Touch ambitions of the University of Twente.

Valorization

In order to reach out to practitioners and share our evidence-based insights and experiences we also regularly publish our work in professional journals including Binnenlands Bestuur, Openbaar Bestuur, Holland Management Review, Management Executive, Sigma, M&O Tijdschrift voor Management en Organisatie and even YouTube summaries of PhD theses.

Also in cooperation with our research (see below) we develop knowledge that is aimed to inspire and support professionals in the workplace.
