Self Management and Health behaviour

Research line 3: Self Management and Health behaviour

The (short-term) influence of some everyday behaviours in physical and mental health is sometimes underestimated. Using ESM, actigraphy and other forms of passive sensing associations of behaviours such as physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and video-on-demand watching or gaming with predictors and outcomes can be observed, along with the contexts in which these come about. Besides observing mental health, using DLR also physical health of patients can be investigated, given, for example, the opportunity to investigate associations between symptoms of post-COVID sufferers - along with the behavioural contexts and emotional states in which these happen, but also investigating adverse effects from (daily) taken medications.
