  • Explanation why alternatives, such as a separate report/presentation for the client, are not possible

To include in the motivation letter for confidentiality master thesis:

  • General motivation.
  • Explanation why it is impossible to find alternative forms, such as anonymizing the report, avoiding sensitive information by indexing data, moving sensitive information to a confidential appendix.
  • Starting date of the graduation period; if available, attach your Mobility Online registration.
  • In case this request is not made during the early stages of the graduation period, provide an explanation why this was not possible, and upload the current version of the thesis, such that the examination board can judge whether alternative forms are not possible.

  • General motivation. Note that this request should be submitted no later than 6 weeks before start of the corresponding quartile for which extended validity is required. In case of a 1st quartile, the request should be submitted no later than 30 September within this quartile.

To include in the motivation letter for a third exam/test opportunity due to COVID-19:

  • General motivation, e.g., explanation of the timeline related to COVID-19 symptoms and test, and the exam/test for which participation was not possible due to COVID-19.
  • Date of the first and second exam/test.
  • Date of the third exam/test if already know.

To include in the motivation letter for free degree program:

  • General motivation.
  • Argumentation on the setup of the programme.
  • Explanation how the learning objectives of the selected courses contribute and cover the attainment targets of the educational programme.
  • Explanation how the selected courses fit with a certain specialization, orientation or track.
