• Explanation whether the exemption is for a complete, or for a part of a study unit.
• Clear description based on what regulations the request should be judged by the examination board, include an exact quote of the applicable rules from the EER or R&R.

To include in the motivation letter for extend validity of result(s):

• General motivation. Note that this request should be submitted no later than 6 weeks before start of the corresponding quartile for which extended validity is required. In case of a 1^st quartile, the request should be submitted no later than 30 September within this quartile.
• Explanation whether the extension is for a complete study unit, or a study unit part. Provide the study unit codes.
• Explanation of the period of extension.
• Clear description based on what regulations the request should be judged by the examination board, include an exact quote of the applicable rules from the EER or R&R.

To include in the motivation letter for extra exam/test opportunity:

• General motivation.
• Explanation of all compensation regulations and repair opportunities within the study unit, and explain why these are not sufficient.
• Explanation why replacement with other study units or study unit parts is not possible.
• Clear description based on what regulations the request should be judged by the examination board, include an exact quote of the applicable rules from the EER or R&R.

To include in the motivation letter for individualised programme:

• General motivation.
• Argumentation on the setup of the programme.
• Explanation how the learning objectives of the selected study units contribute and cover the attainment targets of the educational programme.
• Explanation how the selected study units fit with a certain specialization, orientation or track.
• Clear description based on what regulations the request should be judged by the examination board, include an exact quote of the applicable rules from the EER or R&R.

To include in the motivation letter for postponing your degree certificate:

• General motivation.
• Explanation length of postponement.
• In case of following study units elsewhere, description of the study units and planning.
• Clear description based on what regulations the request should be judged by the examination board, include an exact quote of the applicable rules from the EER or R&R.

To include in the motivation letter because the category "other" has been selected:

• General motivation.
• Point by point explanation why none of the other subject categories are applicable. Note that the examination board handles requests from this category only in very rare cases.
