Managing Digital Transformations, MDT, is an Erasmus+ project. This project addresses the shortage of ‘digital leaders’ by developing a 30 ECTS program called ‘Managing Digital Transformation’ (MDT). The program will be designed for students and professionals with a high interest in entrepreneurship and management. The program consists of six specializations of each 5 ECTS. The multidisciplinary program will deliver digital leaders who can enable successful digital transformations, thereby contributing to the competitiveness of Europe and of individual organizations. A separate certification framework will be developed: the ‘EU Digital Transformation Certification Framework’. Next to the creation of this program, the project consortium will develop a Managing Digital Transformation Academy where students and professionals can find all the courses available.
The project consists of a cooperation between 6 partners: ACEEU (The Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities), Athens University of Economics and Business, EIT Urban Mobility, FH Münster University of Applied Sciences, NOVA IMS Information Management School, SAXION University of Applied Sciences, University of Twente.
University of Twente Role: Leader of the MDT project and designer of the MOOC platform & specialization ‘Taking Leadership in Digital Transformations’.
As the leader of the MDT project, University of Twente will take initiative in the cooperation between the 6 partners. Next to this role, University of Twente has developed a MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) platform. An opensource openEDX platform where partners can develop their specializations and where students and professionals can enrol and complete the specializations.
The University of Twente leads the development of the specialization ‘Taking Leadership in Digital Transformations’. This specialization will consist of 3 MOOC’s guiding the students through answering the following questions: What is Leadership in Digital Transformations? What is a practical Digital Transformation leadership toolbox? How can I lead Digital Transformation developments?
