Not everyone has the same digital skills.
Only a small group really understands how the internet 'works' and the possible consequences of certain choices. Commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Alexander van Deursen, deputy professor of communication sciences at the University of Twente, together with Ellen Helsper, professor of social-digital inequality at the London School of Economics, drew up a research and policy agenda to combat social-digital inequality.
