In October Jordy Gosselt and Sikke Jansma presented the research line ‘the energy transition as a communication challenge’ at the sustainability week of the University of Twente.
You can see an impression of the sustainability week at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWumWDrMoDI.
The Communication Science department is involved in several research projects regarding the energy transition, including:
- How to involve citizens and communicate about the transition towards sustainable heating (Aardgasvrij) in the Netherlands;
- Citizens' perceptions and experiences of local renewable energy projects (i.e., wind turbines, solar farms, and manure digesters);
- Framing the energy transition: the influence of gain and loss frames on the attitude and acceptance of energy projects.
