This year we had the pleasure of having the concrete canoe race in Enschede itself. This gave us the opportunity to train indoors and outdoors even harder to smoothly canoe on OUR Twentekanaal. With the support of our sponsors, we were able to lift our canoes to a higher level and this lead to every canoe as a price winner.
For the race in Enschede we built three canoes with the theme vegetables and fruits. The names of the canoes were Avokano, Betomaat and Kanananas. With the colours matching their names the aesthatics were pleasant.
As we made our way with the canoes to the Twentekanaal by foot and the canoes in our trailers, the excitement began and we trained for the last time. Nevertheless, the competition was still to be beaten and with teams from The Netherlands, Germany and Poland this was still a challenge. 4 distances were to be raced. 50m, 100m and 200m with a special race 50m backwards. Winning 7 prices during the CCR was great teamwork and good preparation for Germany.

After racing these brutally good races the canoes were still alive. Leading to an epic open activity for all members of our association who got the opportunity to canoe in the concrete canoes in September. So great succes and lots of fun in Enschede later, ready to continue the season.
