Circadian variability in motor threshold and motor potentials evoked by transcranial magnetic stimulation

Project description

Cortical excitability appears to fluctuate in a non random fashion over the day and is possibly influenced by the human circadian rhythm. Motor threshold and motor evoked potential are widely used to assess cortical excitability, but it is still unclear to what extend they are influenced by the human circadian rhythm. This study will try to give a definite answer on the question whether future research will have to account for possible circadian changes in motor threshold and motor evoked potential.
