The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic gives rise to reshaping higher education. It forces us to rethink its effects on education at our University. What have we learnt from our experiences? Which opportunities have presented themselves? What are the most important predictions for the sector of higher education in the long run? How should we prepare for a future-proof university?
On Tuesday 8 June 2021, Tom Veldkamp (Vice-Chancellor) and Jennifer Herek (Dean of the Faculty of S&T) will discuss the future of education at UT with, among others, teachers, programme directors and students. This ‘panel discussion’ will be broadcast live from the TechMed Centre and can be followed online by all UT staff and students via UT.LIVE. Do you have any questions or comments on this subject? The panel discussion ‘Consequences of Corona: lasting positive change?’ is the first of two UT-wide panel discussions. On Thursday 10 June at 15.30hr, the panel discussion ‘Recognition and Rewards in Education’ will take place, with, among others, Mirjam Bult, Tanya Bondarouk and Jasper Homminga.
Month of Education
The panel discussion ‘Consequences of COVID-19: a lasting change for the better?’ is part of the S&T Month of Education, which take place from 18 May till 11 June 2021. During this month, inspirational lectures, workshops and sessions with themes such as recognition and rewards, lifelong learning and challenged-based learning will be organised. With this initiative, the Faculty hopes to offer additional support and inspiration to its staff. The Month of Education will be concluded with two panel sessions; these two sessions will be broadcast for the entire UT at UT.LIVE.
